ANALYSIS + HIGHLIGHTS: CanWNT defeat Argentina 3-0 in first of two west coast friendlies
The Canadian women's national team continued their winning ways on Friday night at BC Place in Vancouver as Casey Stoney's side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over Argentina in the first of two friendlies against this opponent.
An opening tap-in by Jade Rose off a free kick gave the Canadians a first-half advantage, which they would continue to build on as Adriana Leon and Nichelle Prince combined well for the latter to finish. Julia Grosso wrapped up the scoring late in the second half as Janine Sonis' surprise shot stunned the 'keeper and hit the post before falling kindly to her teammate to round out with an unchallnged strike on goal.
Canada and Argentina meet again on April 8th at Starlight Stadium on Vancouver Island, which you can watch right here on OneSoccer.
