The Vancouver Whitecaps have a monumental task in front of them in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders in Leg 1 of this Round of 16 match-up.
A brace from Paul Arriola rounded out by a third goal by Paul Rothrock proved the difference at BC Place, and with three away goals now earned, the Sounders return to Washington, but at ONE Spokane Stadium in Tacoma instead of Lumen Field, on March 18 with a tremendous advantage.
"We're not done yet," Whitecaps star Thomas Muller told OneSoccer, post-match. "Yes, 3-0 is a very tough result, but not impossible. That's our mindset. It's half-time, and we try to fight back next week."
